About introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About scientific and scientific and technical activities"

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

1. Bring in the Law of Ukraine "About scientific and scientific and technical activities" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1999, No. 2-3, of Art. 20; 2000, No. 28, Art. 223; 2003, No. 24, Art. 158; 2004, No. 14, Art. 198; 2008, Art. No. No. 5-8, 78) such changes:

1) in Article 1:

to state the paragraph of the seventh in such edition:

"applied scientific research - the scientific activities directed to receipt of new knowledge which can be used for practical purposes";

add with paragraphs the sixteenth or eighteenth such content:

"scientific and technical (experimental) developments - the scientific and technical activities directed to creation of new materials, products, processes, devices, technologies, systems and provision of new services or on essential enhancement of those which are already made (are provided) or are enacted;

scientific (scientific and technical) products - the scientific and (or) scientific and applied result intended for realization;

grant - the financial or other resources provided on bezoplatny and irretrievable basis by legal, physical persons and the international organizations for carrying out specific basic and (or) applied scientific research in the directions and on the conditions determined by predostavitel of grant";

2) in Article 34:

add with new part one of such content:

"Financial provision of scientific and scientific and technical activities is performed at the expense of means of the Government budget of Ukraine, own or raised funds of the companies, organizations and the organizations, means of domestic and foreign customers of works, grants, other sources which are not prohibited by the law".
