About modification of General provisions of safety of nuclear power plants

According to article 22 of the Law of Ukraine "About use of nuclear energy and radiation safety", the subitem 7 of item 4 of the Regulations on the State inspection of the nuclear regulation of Ukraine approved by the Presidential decree of Ukraine of 06.04.2011 No. 403, and for the purpose of enhancement of regulatory framework of Ukraine concerning regulation of nuclear and radiation safety of nuclear power plants I ORDER:

1. Bring in the General provisions of safety of nuclear power plants approved by the order of the State committee of nuclear regulation of Ukraine of 19.11.2007 No. 162, such changes registered in the Ministry of Justice to Ukraine 25.01.2008 for No. 56/14747,:

1.1. Add Item 2.26 with words ", confirmed with practical experience of application.".

1.2. State Item 2.94 in such edition:

"2.94. Nuclear accident - the accident connected with damage of the fuel elements (further - fuel elements) which exceeds the set limits of safe operation which is caused by nuclear and physical processes owing to:

violations of control and management of chain reaction of division in active zone;

formations of critical mass during overload, transportations and storages of fuel elements;

violations of the heat sink from fuel elements".

1.3. The first offer of Item 6.1.2 to add with the words "and to consider the reached level of science and technology".

2. To the central inspection management (Kutuzova T. Ya.) provide submission of this order on state registration in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine in accordance with the established procedure.

3. This order becomes effective from the date of its official publication.
