About introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About conscription and military service"

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Bring in the Law of Ukraine "About conscription and military service" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2006, No. 38, Art. 324; with the changes made by the Law of Ukraine of May 12, 2011 No. 3353-VI) such changes:

1. In part three of Article 5 of the word "courts and" to exclude.

2. Third of Article 23 to state part in such edition:

"3. The term of passing of military service can be prolonged under the new contract before age achievement of limit of stay on military service:

for the military personnel who passes military service on positions of ordinary structure, - for 3 years;

for the military personnel who passes military service on positions of sergeant and foreman structure, - for 5 years;

for faces of officers - for a period of 5 up to 10 years.

For faces of officers which have pension entitlement for long service at will the term of passing of military service under the new contract can be prolonged for a period of 2 up to 10 years, but no more than before age achievement of limit of stay on military service".

II. Final provisions

1. This Law becomes effective from the day following behind day of its publication.

2. Declare invalid the Resolution of Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of February 21, 1994 "About military ranks of judges of military board of the Supreme Court of Ukraine" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1994, No. 24, the Art. 192).
