The government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of Turkmenistan which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties

for the purpose of creating favorable conditions for development of trade and the economic relations between the Republic of Belarus and Turkmenistan,

taking into account mutual desire to develop cooperation in the field of standardization, metrology, certification and accreditation on the basis of the principles and regulations accepted by International Organizations for Standardization

being guided by economic interests of the Republic of Belarus and Turkmenistan,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties perform cooperation within this agreement and according to national legal systems of the states of the Parties.

Article 2

The parties recognize on mutually agreed terms the operating national systems of standardization, ensuring unity of measurements, certifications (confirmation of conformity) and accreditation.

The parties perform interaction and cooperation in the following directions:

development of legislative, regulating and methodical documents on standardization, metrology, certifications and accreditations;

unification of systems of certification (confirmation of conformity) and their reduction in compliance with the procedures and rules accepted by the international organizations;

monitoring procedure of quality and checks of compliance to the mandatory requirements of safety existing in the states of the Parties for mutually delivered goods;

creation, enhancement, checking and certification of the state standards of units of physical quantities;

development, production and application of standard samples of structure and properties of substances and materials, standard help data on physical constants and properties of substances and materials;

development of information activities in the field of standardization, metrology, certification and accreditation.
