About the Agreement on the free trade area

The Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States in connection with signing, the State Parties of the CIS solved Agreements on the free trade area of October 18, 2011:

1. To the governments of the State Parties of the CIS:

consider necessary the fastest carrying out in the State Parties of the CIS of the interstate procedures necessary for entry into force of the Agreement on the free trade area;

take the measures directed to cancellation bilateral international, the free-trade treaties existing between agreement parties about the free trade area (the list of agreements is attached);

perform monitoring of implementation of the Agreement on the free trade area, having paid special attention on accomplishment of the provisions concerning observance of national treatment, application of customs duties, cancellation of quantitative restrictions, application of anti-dumping, countervailing and special protective measures in mutual trade.

Annually to provide the relevant information to Executive committee of the CIS for its generalization and subsequent, considerations at meeting of Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States;

develop and submit in established, procedure for consideration of Council of CIS Heads of Government in the first half of the year 2012 procedure for determination of amount of remuneration of members and the commission chairman of experts, and also the expenses refunded to them provided by appendix 4 to the Agreement on the free trade area. 

2. Consider it expedient to start to the governments of the interested State Parties of the CIS preparation of the draft agreement on free trade by services.

To executive committee of the CIS together with the states to create the working group on development of the specified draft agreement.
