Article 1. Bring in the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "About internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic" (Sheets of Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, 1994, No. 6, the Art. 184) the following changes:

"Article 2. Tasks of internal troops

Tasks of internal troops are:

- protection of strategic, important state objects and particular loads;

- participation together with law-enforcement bodies in protection of public order, ensuring public safety and emergency rule;

- participation in territorial defense of the Kyrgyz Republic;

- participation in actions for localization and blocking of the area of the conflict;

- participation in liquidation of illegal armed groups, terrorist groups and organizations, destruction of their bases (warehouses), communications;

- suppression of internal armed conflicts and separation of warring parties;

- participation in holding actions for disarmament and liquidation of illegal armed groups and to withdrawal of weapon at the population around the internal conflict;

- strengthening of protection of public order and safety in the areas adjoining the area of the conflict;

- maintenance of specific mode of entrance on the territory in which martial law, and departure from it, and also restriction of freedom of travel on it during the specified period is imposed;

- participation in rescuing and evacuation of the population, carrying out rescue and other urgent works in fire-fighting, epidemics and epizooty;
