Article 1

The parties will promote development of cooperation in the field of science, the equipment and information on the basis of the principles of equality and mutual advantage.

Article 2

The parties will develop cooperation in the field of natural, humanitarian and technical science, new technologies, preparation of scientific personnel, protection of industrial and intellectual property.

Specific forms and conditions of cooperation are regulated by free standing agreements between the ministries, departments, scientific and research establishments, higher education institutions, associations, funds of both Parties, within their competence and according to the national legal system.

Article 3

The parties cooperate in the following forms:

- implementation of joint research programs, projects on creation and development of high technologies:

- scientific work in research establishments, higher education institutions, archives and libraries of the Parties, including joint field surveys and expeditions;

- exchange of scientific and technical information, documentation, literature and bibliographic editions;

- holding joint seminars, scientific conferences and working meetings;

- exchange of scientists, specialists, doctoral candidates and graduate students, increase in their qualification;

- organization of training;

- other mutually agreed forms providing implementation of this agreement.
