for the purpose of refining and determination of passing of the line of the Kazakhstan-Kyrgyz frontier,

according to the Almaty Declaration on creation of the Commonwealth of Independent States of December 21, 1991, the Contract on eternal friendship between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic of April 8, 1997, the Memorandum of delimitation of frontier between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic of July 17, 1998,

according to the commonly accepted rules of international law,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

High contracting parties agreed on the basis of the existing administrative-territorial differentiation between the being Kazakh SSR and the Kyrgyz SSR as follows passing of the line of frontier between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic (further - frontier):

The initial point of the line of the Kazakhstan-Kyrgyz frontier is the point of joint of frontiers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, People's Republic of China and the Kyrgyz Republic which is at top of peak of Khan Tengri.
