About perpetuating of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945
Noting world-wide and historical value of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 which exerted decisive impact on all course of World War II, proceeding from historical traditions of the Ukrainian people to keep memory of defenders of the Fatherland, considering need of permanent care of veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the victims of Nazism, this law is adopted.

The Victory Day is day of celebration of immortal feat of narodapobeditel over fascism, national memory of its fight for freedom and independence of the Homeland.
Respect for memory of the Victory and veterans of the Great Patriotic War is holy duty of the state and citizens of Ukraine.
In honor of the Victory in the capital of Ukraine the hero town of Kiev, other cities and settlements of Ukraine festive events with use of symbolics of years of the Great Patriotic War are held.
The Banner of Victory is symbol of victory of the Soviet people and its army and fleet over fascist Germany in days of the Great Patriotic War. Appearance of copies of the Banner of Victory shall correspond to type of assault flag of the 150th of the Order of Kutuzov 2 class of Idritskoi of shooting division.
