About modification and amendments in some legal acts

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Ct.I. - In the Law on identification documents of national passport system No. 273-XIII of November 9, 1994 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 1995, No. 9, of the Art. 89), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes and additions:

1. In Article 33:

in part (3) the second offer to exclude;

parts (4) and (to state 5) in the following edition:

"(4) For children, stipulated in Item x) parts (2) Article 31 and Item v) parts (2) Articles 32, diplomatic or service passports are issued from the moment of their birth.

(5) the Procedure and terms of issue, cancellation, withdrawal and storage of diplomatic and service passports are regulated by the Government.";

add Article with parts (51) and (52) the following content:

"(51) In case of filing of application about issue of the diplomatic or service passport the applicant undergoes the procedure of removal of fingerprints according to the requirements established by the Government.

(52) Persons at whom removal of fingerprints is physically impossible (constantly or temporarily) and children aged up to 12 years are exempted from obligatory entering of fingerprints into diplomatic and service passports. If removal of fingerprints is temporarily impossible, the diplomatic and service passport is issued with effective period of 12 months.";

part (to add 6) with Item r) the following content:

"r) biometric data (blood type, fingerprints, digital photo).".

2. In part (31) article 4 change concerns only the text in state language.

CT.II. - In the Law on the consular fees No. 242 of September 24, 2010 (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2010, No. 231-234, of the Art. 732) to make the following changes:

1. Item g) Article 4 to declare invalid.

2. To declare Item 2 of the Section II of appendix 2 invalid.

CT.III. - The diplomatic and service passports which are not containing biometric data issued before entry into force of this law are valid before the expiration of their action.
