About modification and amendments in the Law on metrology No. 647-XIII of November 17, 1995

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. - In the Law on metrology No. 647-XIII of November 17, 1995 (repeated publication: The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, special release of April 15, 2008), with subsequent changes to make the following changes and additions:

1. In all text of the law of the word "placed in the market" shall be replaced with words "entered on the market", the words "Placement in the Market" - the words "Introduction on the Market", words "placement it in the market" - words "its introduction on the market", and the words "placed by it in the market" - the words "entered by it on the market".

2. In Article 11:

after the term "legislative metrological control" to add Article with the new term of the following content:

"authorization - the legislative decision based on the appraisal report confirming competence of the applicant, and also compliance to its criteria established in regulations on legislative metrology for the purpose of accomplishment of activities for legislative metrology (checking of legalized measuring instruments, metrological testing according to type of legalized measuring instruments and official measurements);";

to state determinations of the terms "standard", "calibration", "uncertainty of measurements", "verification mark", "gage", "International System of Units (SI)" in the following edition:

"standard - realization of determination of this size with the established value of size and the related uncertainty of measurements used as basis for comparison;";

"calibration - transaction during which under the set conditions at the first stage establish ratio between values of sizes with uncertainty of measurements which provide standards and the corresponding indications with uncertainty inherent in them, and at the second stage on the basis of this information establish the ratio allowing to receive result of measurement proceeding from the indication;";
