recognizing need of the coordinated mode of regulation of amounts of development of overflows of electrical energy, delivery of energy carriers and work of water storage basins,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

For the purpose of exception of the increased releases and preserving water resources in the Toktogul Reservoir and the maximum loading of thermal stations of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Uzbekistan will perform delivery to power system of the Kyrgyz Republic to the autumn and winter period of 2000-2001 electrical energy in amount of 1,0 of one billion kWh, including:

in 2000

November - December - 400 million kWh

in 2001

January - April - 600 million kWh

and following energy resources:

 natural gas in 2001 of 700 million cubic meters on border of gas-transport systems of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan for transfer at combined heat and power plant Bishkek and on border of gas-transport systems of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic for transfer at combined heat and power plant Osh;

 fuel oil in 2001 in amount of 80,0 of one thousand tons, turbine oil in amount of 120,0 of tons and transformer oil in amount of 120,0 of tons on account of reduction of supply of fuel oil taking into account prices for the specified oils.

Article 2

Uzbek Side:

will establish natural gas price for the population and domestic objects since November 1, 2000 in the amount of 42 US dollars for 1000 CBM on payment terms: 50% in hard currency and 50% food and material resources;

will perform in 2001 supply of natural gas for the population and domestic objects of the Kyrgyz Republic in amount to 525 million cubic meters;
