About increase in pensions

For the purpose of increase in pensions:

1. Establish since January 1, 2012 surcharges to pensions (further - surcharges) to the unemployed receivers of pensions who are constantly living in the Republic of Belarus * in bodies for work, the employment and social protection (except for specified in part two of this Item) which reached age:

75 years, - in the amount of 75 percent of the minimum size of old-age pension;

80 years, - in the amount of 100 percent of the minimum size of old-age pension.

Surcharges are not established to pensions of persons which are in places of detention, on the state providing and living in the state stationary organizations of social servicing.

Surcharges are established from the 1st following after month of achievement of age 75 (80) years, and are paid according to the procedure, provided for pension payment.

* For the purposes of this Decree the persons receiving pensions, but not being individual entrepreneurs, not performing labor activity based on employment, civil contracts which subject are performance of works, rendering services and creation of intellectual property items, or on the basis of membership (participation) in legal entities of any forms of business treat unemployed receivers of pensions.

2. Make in 2012 adjustment of the actual earnings of pensioners and recalculations of work pensions in connection with growth of the average salary of workers in the republic:

since February 1 - proceeding from the average salary of workers in the republic for the IV quarter 2011;

since May 1 - proceeding from the average salary of workers in the republic for the I quarter 2012;

since August 1 - proceeding from the average salary of workers in the republic for the II quarter 2012;

since November 1 - proceeding from the average salary of workers in the republic for III quarter 2012.

3. Financing of selling expenses of this Decree is performed by fund of social protection of the population of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.

4. This Decree becomes effective from the date of its official publication.
