About introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About the state system of biosafety during creation, testing, transportation and use of genetically modified organisms"

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Bring in the Law of Ukraine "About the state system of biosafety during creation, testing, transportation and use of genetically modified organisms" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2007., No. 35, Art. 484; 2010, No. 9, Art. 90) such changes:

1. Add Article 1 with paragraphs of such content:

"arbitral testing of GMO - laboratory researches which are conducted upon the demand of person who appealed results of the previous laboratory research;

reference samples of GMO - reference (reference) material GMO which value of properties is rather homogeneous and suitable to estimate method of measurement or to establish certain properties of material;

target taxon - the isolated group of organisms to which GMO close among themselves community of signs and properties therefore the taxonomical category can be appropriated to such organisms belong;

transformational event - change of genetic material of organism with artificial acceptances of transfer of genes which do not happen under natural conditions".

2. The fifth articles 5 after the words "introduction into circulation" to add the paragraph with the words "and further turnover".

3. To add article 6 after words of "executive authority" with the words "and scientific and methodological center for questions of testing of GMO".

4. Add Article 7 with paragraphs of such content:

"determines the scientific institution authorized on accomplishment of functions of the nauchnometodologichesky center for questions of testing of GMO by representation to National academy of Sciences of Ukraine;

determines functions of the scientific and methodological center for questions of testing of GMO".

5. In Article 15:

add the name with the words "and requirements concerning their traceability";

add with parts two - the fourth such content:
