About obligatory copy of documents

This Law determines procedure for forming of obligatory copy of documents as resource base of completing of national library and information fund of the Republic of Tajikistan and governs the public relations on ensuring safety of obligatory copy of documents and their public use, and also terms and procedure for delivery of obligatory copy of documents.

CHAPTER 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

Article 1. Basic concepts

In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

- copy - the sample of the replicated document identical to the original;

- the document - the material object with information fixed on it in the form of the text, sound recording and the image intended for storage and public use;

- obligatory copy of documents - the copies of different types of the replicated documents which are subject to voluntary conveyance to receivers by their producers;

- obligatory paid copy of documents - copies of different types of documents of republican and local nature which are subject to paid transfer to receivers by their producers;

- the obligatory complimentary copy of documents - copies of different types of the documents of republican and local nature made in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan and beyond its limits by request of state bodies, the companies, organizations, the organizations and physical persons for public distribution in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan and also copies of different types of the documents made by request of nonresidents in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan who are subject voluntary conveyance to receivers by their producers;

- system of obligatory copy of documents - established procedure of acceptance, storage and use of all types of obligatory copies of documents;

- the producer of documents - legal entity or physical person, irrespective of pattern of ownership and legal form, performing seal, the publication (release) and providing delivery of obligatory copy of documents;
