The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties
being guided by the aspiration to develop economic and sci-tech cooperation in the field of agricultural industry on the principles of equality and mutual advantage,
considering historically developed commercial ties between the Republic of Belarus and Turkmenistan,
agreed as follows:
The parties will perform mutually advantageous sci-tech cooperation in the field of agricultural industry according to the legislation of the states of the Parties.
The cooperation will be performed in the following main directions:
crop production;
livestock production and veterinary science;
mechanization and automation of agro-industrial production;
development and enhancement of methods of managing in agro-industrial complex;
economy and agrarian policy;
interaction in the field of agricultural science and advanced technologies, and also experience exchange;
cooperation in the field of agrarian education, preparation and retraining of heads and specialists of the agricultural and processing agricultural products organizations.
Other priority directions of cooperation can be included in this agreement according to the mutual arrangement of the Parties.
The cooperation within this agreement will be implemented in the following forms:
exchange of scientific and technical and economic information;
implementation of short-term visits of research associates and specialists;
participation in seminars, symposiums, the fairs and exhibitions held through agro-industrial complex of two countries.
Other forms of cooperation can be determined by the mutual arrangement of the Parties according to the procedure, stipulated in Article the 7th this agreement.
