ORDER OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA

About approval of Veterinary sanitary standard about realization and import of poultry and incubatory eggs

(as amended of the Order of the Government of the Republic of Moldova of 02.07.2014 No. 513)

According to provisions of article 29 of the Law No. 221-XVI of October 19, 2007 on veterinary and sanitary activities (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2008, No. 51 - 54, the Art. 153), with subsequent changes and amendments, DECIDES: the Government

1. Approve Veterinary sanitary standard about realization and import of poultry and incubatory eggs it (is applied).

2. This Resolution becomes effective in 3 months after publication in the Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova.

3. To impose control of execution of this resolution on the National agency on safety of foodstuff.

Veterinary sanitary standard about realization and import of poultry and incubatory eggs

Provisions of this Regulation are brought into accord with provisions of the Directive No. 2009/158/EU of the Council of the European Union of November 30, 2009 about requirements to health of animals in case of inner-union trade and import from the third countries of poultry and incubatory eggs (The official magazine of the European Union of December 22, 2009, L 334, page 4), the Commission No. 2011/214/EU changed by the Decision of April 1, 2011 on change of appendices II-IV to the Directive No. 2009/158/EU of Council on requirements to health of animals in case of inner-union trade and import from the third countries of poultry and incubatory eggs (The official magazine of the EU, L 90, page 27 of April 6, 2011) and Regulations (EU) No. 617/2008 of the Commission of June 27, 2008 about setting standards on application of Regulations (EU) No. 1234/2007 of Council about standards for realization of incubatory eggs and chickens of fermsky birds (IO L 168, on June 28, 2008, the page 5) changed by Regulations (EU) to No. 557/2010 of the Commission of June 24, 2010 (IO L 159, page 13 of June 25, 2010).

Chapter I General provisions

1. The veterinary sanitary standard about realization and import of poultry and incubatory eggs (further - Veterinary sanitary standard) establishes requirements to health and standards in case of realization and import of poultry and incubatory eggs.

2. Provisions of this Veterinary sanitary standard are not applied to poultry to fairs, exhibitions and tenders.

3. The basic concepts used in this Veterinary sanitary standard have the following value:

poultry is the hens, turkeys, guinea fowls, ducks, geese, quails, pigeons, pheasants, partridges, and also the running birds (ostrich-Ratitae) who are grown up or containing in bondage for reproduction, production of meat or eggs for consumption or for replenishment of reserves for shooting;

eggs incubatory - the local or import oosperms of poultry intended for incubation and production of chickens, sorted by types, categories and types, identified according to provisions of this Veterinary sanitary standard;

chickens (baby birds) - the local or import live poultry weighing no more than 185 grams classified by types, categories (for use, reproduction and for reproduction) and to types (meat, egg, mixed);

chickens for use are chickens for meat (broilers), eggs, the mixed use;

chickens for meat (broilers) - the chickens intended for fattening and slaughter before achievement of puberty by them;

chickens for eggs are the chickens intended for cultivation for the purpose of production of food eggs;

chickens for the mixed use are the chickens intended for cultivation for the purpose of production of eggs or meat;

chickens for reproduction are the chickens intended for cultivation for the purpose of production of chickens for use;

chickens for reproduction are the chickens intended for cultivation for the purpose of production of chickens for reproduction;

chickens one-day (daily allowance) - nekormlenny poultry aged till 72 o'clock, including kormlenny or nekormlenny ducks of type of Cairina moschata or their hybrid;

poultry for reproduction is poultry at the age of 72 hours and more, intended for production of incubatory eggs;

poultry for production is poultry at the age of 72 hours and more, grown up for production of meat and/or food eggs, or for replenishment of reserves of shooting;

poultry for slaughter is the poultry sent directly to slaughter for slaughter within no more than 72 hours after arrival;
