About scientific intellectual property

Article 1. Legislation of Turkmenistan on scientific intellectual property

1. The relations arising concerning objects of scientific intellectual property are regulated by this Law, other legal acts of Turkmenistan published according to them resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers.

2. Provisions of this Law are applied to the companies created in Turkmenistan, the organizations, associations, joint businesses with foreign investments, and also citizens of Turkmenistan.

3. State bodies of Turkmenistan within the established competence can issue the acts governing the relations arising when implementing the right of scientific intellectual property according to this Law.

4. If the international treaty of Turkmenistan establishes other rules, than those which contain in the current legislation governing the relations of scientific intellectual property then are applied rules of the international treaty.

Article 2. Objects and forms of scientific intellectual property

1. Also by-product of scientific works belong to scientific intellectual property expressed in objektirovanny forms intermediate, final.

2. The objects provided by the contract, office or special task, created or received in the course of scientific works, but which are not their result belong to the results having intermediate nature.
