About recognition valid till January 1, 2008 passports of the citizen of the USSR of sample of 1974 for some categories of foreign citizens and stateless persons

For the purpose of implementation of the Federal Law "About Citizenship of the Russian Federation" (Russian Federation Code, 2002, N 22, Art. 2031; The Russian newspaper, 2003, on November 14) decides the Government of the Russian Federation:

1. Recognize valid till January 1, 2008 passports of the citizen of the USSR of sample of 1974:

a) proving the identity of the foreign citizens who had citizenship of the USSR, arrived to the Russian Federation from the states which were part of the USSR, and registered at the place of residence in the Russian Federation as of July 1, 2002 - for permanent residence in the Russian Federation specified persons;

b) proving the identity of the stateless persons which had citizenship of the USSR, arrived to the Russian Federation from the states which were part of the USSR, registered in the procedure established by the legislation of the Russian Federation as of November 1, 2002 or got permission to temporary residence in the Russian Federation - for stay, temporary and permanent residence in the Russian Federation specified persons.

2. To the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation to make concerning persons which acquired in accordance with the established procedure citizenship of the Russian Federation:

a) issue of passports of the citizen of the Russian Federation - to the foreign citizens specified in the subitem "an" of Item 1 of this resolution;

b) replacement of passports of the citizen of the USSR of sample of 1974 by passports of the citizen of the Russian Federation - to the stateless persons specified in the subitem "b" of Item 1 of this resolution.
