About introduction of amendments to article 22-1 of the Law of Ukraine "About rail transport"

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

І. Bring in article 22-1 of the Law of Ukraine "About rail transport" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1996, No. 40, Art. 183; 2011, No. 18, Art. 128) such changes:

the second to state part in such edition:

"The carrier in transit of the passenger in the international railway service, except obligations, the stipulated in Article 22 presents of the Law, shall check prior to such transportation availability at the passenger of the passport identity document of the bearer, or the document which replaces it and to refuse transportation to the passenger who according to its requirement did not show necessary documents";

in part three of the word "the documents necessary for entry into the state of following, the states on route" shall be replaced with words "the documents specified in part two of this Article";

the fourth to state part in such edition:

"For failure to carry out of obligation to check before transportation of the passenger in the international railway service availability at it of the documents specified in part two of this Article that led to transportation or attempt of transportation of the passenger through frontier of Ukraine without necessary documents the carrier bears the responsibility provided by the law".

ІI. Final provisions

1. This Law becomes effective from day of its publication.

2. To the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in three-months time from day of the introduction in operation of this Law:

bring the regulatory legal acts into accord with this Law;

provide reduction by the ministries and other central executive bodies of their regulatory legal acts in compliance with this Law.
