The government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation which are hereinafter referred to as by the Parties

being guided by the Contract between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation on the equal rights of citizens of December 25, 1998,

aiming at updating of regulations of mutual recognition of education documents, academic degrees and ranks, agreed as follows:

Article 1

Bring in the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation on mutual recognition and equivalence of education documents, academic degrees and ranks of February 27, 1996 (dalee-Soglasheniye) the following changes:

Article 1-5 to state 1) in the following edition:

"Article 1

This agreement extends to documents of the state sample of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation on education, academic degrees and ranks.

Article 2

The certificate on general basic education granted in the Republic of Belarus, and the certificate about the main general education issued in the Russian Federation are recognized corresponding (equivalent) in case of continuation of education both states.

Article 3

The certificate about general secondary education, the diploma about vocational training and the diploma about secondary vocational education, issued in the Republic of Belarus, and the certificate about the secondary (complete) general education, the diploma about primary professional education (with receipt of the secondary (complete) general education) and the diploma about secondary professional education, issued in the Russian Federation, are recognized corresponding (equivalent) in case of continuation of education both states.
