In pursuance of Art. 11 and 44 of the Law on National Bank of Moldova and the Art. 15, 28 and 33 Laws on financial institutions, and also for the purpose of establishment of the mechanism and rules on ownership of banks of shares in the capital of business entities the Administrative Board of National Bank of Moldova DECIDED:

1. Approve Regulations about ownership of banks of equity interests of business entities it (is applied).

2. To department of regulation and banking supervision (Mr. Radu Mustyatsa) to acquaint the employees of National Bank involved in application of requirements of these Regulations with its content and features.

3. This decision becomes effective from the date of approval with the subsequent publication in the Official Monitor of the Republic of Moldova.

Regulations about ownership of banks of equity interests of business entities

I. Basis

1. These Regulations are developed according to the powers of National Bank of Moldova provided by articles 11 and 44 of the Law on National Bank of Moldova and articles 15 and 40 of the Law on financial institutions.

2. These regulations establish the mechanism and rules of ownership (order) of banks of equity interests of business entities of residents or nonresidents except for of ownership of shares in the banks which are in the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
