Art. I. - Article 78 of the Code of the Republic of Moldova about science and innovations No. 259-XV of July 15, 2004 (2004, 663), with subsequent changes, to state the official monitor of the Republic of Moldova to No. 125-129, of the Art. in the following edition:

"Article 78. Departments Academies of Sciences

(1) Full members, corresponding members, honorary members, scientific researchers, and also the institutional, profile and affiliated members of Academy of Sciences working in one field of science and innovations unite in the following departments:

a) department of natural sciences and exact sciences;

b) department of engineering and technological sciences;

c) department of medical sciences;

d) department of agricultural sciences;

e) department of social and economic sciences;

f) department of the humanities and arts.

(2) the Department is responsible for the level of development of science in the supervised area.

(Each department pushes 3) in structure of Assembly of Academy of Sciences as representatives of the respective areas of sciences:

a) the full members and corresponding members of Academy of Sciences;

b) on 13 doctors or doctors хабилитат, chosen by general meeting of department.

(4) Management of department is performed of the bureau headed by the coordinator elected by general meeting of department for the term of four years (but no more than for two terms in a row).".

Art. II. - (1) This law becomes effective since January 1, 2013.
