Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on free trade

The government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine which are hereinafter referred to as "Party"

aiming at development of trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and Ukraine on the basis of equality and mutual advantage,

being guided by the Agreement on creation of the free trade area of the CIS of April 15, 1994 and the Protocol on modification and amendments in the Agreement on creation of the free trade area of April 2, 1999,

expressing determination to promote harmonious development and growth of world trade, elimination of barriers on the way of its development,

confirming need to develop the bilateral relations in the field of trade and economic relations according to the principles of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) and the World Trade Organization (WTO),

promoting growth of economic capacity of the states on the basis of development of mutual trade and cooperation bonds

agreed as follows:

Article 1

1. The parties do not apply the customs duties, and also the taxes and fees having with them equivalent actions, and quantitative restrictions on import and (or) commodity exportation, occurring from customs area of one Party and intended for customs area of other Party. Withdrawals from this trade regime according to the approved nomenclature of goods if the Parties consider it necessary, are drawn up by the separate Protocol which is integral part of this agreement.

2. For the purposes of this agreement and for its action the goods coming from the territory of the Parties are understood as the goods determined by origin from the territory of the Party according to the Rules of determination of the country of goods' origin which are integral part of the Agreement on creation of the free trade area of the CIS of April 15, 1994.
