The State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States on behalf of the governments which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties

confirming the commitment to the purposes and the principles of constituent documents on creation of the Commonwealth of Independent States (daleesodruzhestvo),

being guided by the conventional principles and rules of international law,

aiming to provide single approach to determination of legal status of officials and the staff of bodies of the Commonwealth, and also wishing to promote increase in efficiency of activities of bodies of the Commonwealth,

agreed as follows:

Article 1.

For the purposes of this agreement the stated below terms mean:

"bodies of the Commonwealth" - the bodies founded or established in this quality by the State Parties of the Commonwealth according to the Charter of the Commonwealth of Independent States of January 22, 1993, the international treaties signed within the Commonwealth, decisions of Council of heads of states or Council of Heads of Government, having the permanent device and financed from the single budget of bodies of the Commonwealth;

"the state of stay" - the state in the territory of which the body of the Commonwealth or its department is located;

"officials" are persons approved by bodies of the Commonwealth for representation of the Parties according to the quotas for positions assigned to each Party;

"employees" - persons working as specialists in bodies of the Commonwealth on the basis of the employment contracts or contracts signed with them (except administrative technicians);

"administrative technicians" - persons performing administrative maintenance of activities of bodies of the Commonwealth;

"family members" - the spouse (spouse), minor children and persons which are dependent on the official or the employee of body of the Commonwealth and who are constantly living with it.
