1. Approve the joint decision of the Commission of the Parliamentary Meeting of the Union of Belarus and Russia on environmental issues, environmental management and mitigation of consequences of accidents and the Commission on social policy, science, culture and humanitarian issues of September 30, 1997 "About measures for strengthening of interaction of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation in the solution of questions of recovery from the accident on the Chernobyl NPP".

2. Suggest the Supreme Council of the Union of Belarus and Russia to consider:

The program of joint activities for overcoming effects of the Chernobyl catastrophic crash within the Union of Belarus and Russia for 1998-2000 with the budget statement on joint financing in 1998 of the priority actions provided by this Program;

the offer on creation of Committee of the Union of Belarus and Russia on recovery from the accident on the Chernobyl NPP within the offered Program.

3. Charge the Commissions of the Parliamentary Meeting of the Union of Belarus and Russia on environmental issues, environmental management and mitigation of consequences of accidents, the Commissions on social policy, science, culture and humanitarian issues and the Secretariat of the Parliamentary Meeting to create the working group on development of offers on rapprochement of the regulatory framework regulating levels of privileges and guarantees to the citizens of the Union of Belarus and Russia who were affected by the Chernobyl accident.
