Regulations on Standing Committee of the Union State

I. General provisions

1. The standing committee of the Union State (further - Standing Committee) is formed according to the Agreement on creation of the Union State (further - the Agreement).

2. The standing committee in the activities is guided by the Agreement, the Action program of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus on realization of provisions of the Agreement on creation of the Union State (further - the Program), the Statute of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, Regulations on Council of Ministers of the Union State, the laws of the Union State and other regulatory legal acts adopted by the Supreme State Council of the Union State (further - the Supreme State Council) and Council of Ministers of the Union State (further - Council of Ministers), the national legal system of the State Parties in the part which is not contradicting the Agreement and also this Provision.

3. The standing committee is accountable to Council of Ministers.

II. Functions of Standing Committee

4. The standing committee performs the following functions:

prepares for Council of Ministers of project proposal of the laws and Bases of the legislation of the Union State, on standardization of legislations of the State Parties;
