in view of need of development of historical cultural ties between two states;

in view of the importance of copyright and the related rights in forming of national cultural capacity, its exchange, and also in development of the bilateral trade and economic and scientific and technical relations:

understanding importance of creation mutually advantageous condition for protection of legitimate interests of authors and owners of the related rights;

confirming the importance of the obligations following from the Bern convention "About Protection Literary and Works of Art" (The Parisian act of July 24, 1971, with amendments of October 2, 1979) and "Agreements on cooperation in the field of protection of the copyright and the related rights" signed in Moscow on September 24, 1993;

agreed as follows:

Article 1

Each of the Parties recognizes copyright and the related rights to the works and objects of the related rights belonging to physical persons and legal entities and their legal successors of other Party irrespective of the place of their first publication. The parties provide protection of these rights according to the national legal system.

Article 2

The parties perform cooperation in the field of protection of the rights to works of science, literature and art and their use on the basis of mutual advantage and equality according to provisions of this agreement, the national legal system and international agreements in the field of copyright and the related rights which participants they are or to join in the future.

Article 3

Each of the Parties propagandizes and encourages legal use in the territory of works of science, literature and art, created by physical persons and legal entities of other Party.
