The governments of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties, aiming at implementation of international treaties in the field of power industry within the Commonwealth of Independent States, based on provisions of the Concept of forming of single (general) educational space of the Commonwealth of Independent States of January 17, 1997, the Agreement on cooperation on forming of single (general) educational space of the Commonwealth of Independent States of January 17, 1997, the Concept of development of distance training in the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States of November 22, 2007, being guided by the Agreement on cooperation in the field of advanced training and occupational retraining of specialists of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States of May 25, 2007, aiming at providing power industry with qualified personnel, agreed as follows:

Article 1

For the purposes of this agreement the used terms have the following value:

professional education – education type which is directed to acquisition by students in the course of development of the main professional educational programs of knowledge, abilities, skills and forming of competence of certain level and amount allowing message professional activity in certain sphere and (or) to perform work on specific profession or specialty;

professional training (training) – education type which is directed to acquisition by students of knowledge, abilities, skills and forming of competence necessary for accomplishment of certain labor, office functions (certain types of labor, office activity, professions);

retraining and increase in professional qualification – education type within appropriate levels of the professional education performed for the purpose of enhancement of competence or increase in level of professional qualification by this or that profession;
