About the state secret
This Law governs the relations arising in connection with reference of data to the state secret, their classification or declassification and protection for the benefit of safety of the Republic of Tajikistan and also determines the legal basis and single system of protection of the state secrets in all types of activity of public authorities, companies, organizations and organizations, irrespective of patterns of ownership, military forming and citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan in all territory of the republic and beyond its limits.
1. Provisions of this Law are obligatory for execution in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan and beyond its limits by state bodies, the companies, organizations and the organizations, irrespective of their organization-legal provision and patterns of ownership, the officials and citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan who undertook obligations or obliged to perform requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan about the state secret according to the status.

In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
the state secret - the data protected by the state in the field of defense, economies, the external relations, state security and protection of law and order which distribution can cause damage to safety of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The state secret is property of the Republic of Tajikistan.
