This Law determines tasks, establishes the legal basis, the principles of the organization of bodies of courier communication and their interaction with other public authorities of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Courier communication in the Republic of Tajikistan is provided with authorized state body - the public courier service which is component of forces and safety controls of the state, acts for the benefit of legislative, executive and judicial authority, and also for the purpose of protection of state interests. The organization-legal status, structure and activities of this body are determined by the Provision which affirms the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The main objectives of courier communication are delivery across the Republic of Tajikistan, and also to the capitals of the State Parties of the Agreement on Intergovernmental courier communication and back especially important, absolutely confidential, confidential and other office departures (further - correspondence):
