Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. Limits of operation of this Law.

This Law is applied to all types of pastures of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Article 2. Legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan on pastures

The legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan on pastures is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan and consists of this Law, other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Tajikistan, and also the international legal acts recognized by Tajikistan.

Article 3. Basic concepts

In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

- pasture - the land area covered with wild and sowing vegetation and intended for pasture and content of the cattle;

- skotoprogonny roads - the established parcels of land provided for cattle run from one place on other place of pasture;

- infrastructure facilities of pastures - roads and bridges, platforms for watering place, pumping points and water supply systems, points for feeding and rest of the cattle, reservoirs for holding sanitary and antiepizootic actions, places of temporary residence of shepherds, sheds and the real estate necessary for pasture of the cattle, content and use of pastures;

- optimum loading of pastures - reserve fodder opportunities of certain site of pasture, taking into account the livestock of the cattle and term of use of this site which are not making negative impact on ecological condition of pastures and their productivity;
