About modification and amendments in some legal acts
The Parliament adopts this organic law.
Art. I. - In the Criminal code of the Republic of Moldova No. 985-XV of April 18, 2002 (repeated publication: The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2009, No. 7274, of the Art. 195), with subsequent changes to make the following changes and additions:
1. Add the code with Articles 242-1 and 242-2 of the following content:
"Article 242-1. Manipulation action
(1) Encouragement, rendering impact or instructing of the participant of the sporting event or action offered for betting concerning making of the actions leading to vicious result on the relevant activity, for the purpose of receipt of not relying properties, services, benefits or benefits in any form, for or for other person,
are punished by penalty in the amount of 2000 to 4000 conventional units or imprisonment for a period of 1 year up to 3 years with deprivation in both cases of the right to hold certain positions or to be engaged in certain activities for a period of up to 3 years, and in case of the legal entity - penalty in the amount of 5000 to 8000 conventional units with deprivation of the right to be engaged in certain activities.
(2) the same actions made by the trainer, the athlete's agent, the judge, the owner of sports club or person from management of the sports organization
are punished by penalty in the amount of 3000 to 5000 conventional units or imprisonment for a period of 2 up to 6 years with deprivation in both cases of the right to hold certain positions or to be engaged in certain activities for a period of 4 up to 7 years.
Article 242-2. The arranged bets
(1) Betting on the sporting event or other action offered for betting or informing other persons on arrangement availability on implementation of frauds concerning this action with the purpose to incline the corresponding persons to participation in bet, commited by person, for certain aware of arrangement availability on implementation of frauds concerning this action,
