About the status of the health worker

This Law governs the legal, social and economic relations connected with activities of Health workers and is directed to creation of the conditions providing high-quality improvement of legal status, realization of guarantees of their social security and also determines requirements to persons wishing to be engaged in medical activities, their basic rights, obligations and responsibility when implementing these activities.

Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. Status of health workers

1. Persons with medical education, and also with biological education, holding position of laboratory doctors and laboratory assistants, and the corresponding qualification, performing the activities in the organizations of health care, including educational, privately practicing persons have the status of health workers. The status of health workers is determined by conditions and nature of activities, includes their rights, obligations and responsibility.

2. Doctors, including chief physicians (directors) and their deputies, teachers and the staff of the organizations of the higher and secondary medical professional education and medical departments, specialists with secondary professional medical education, hospital attendants treat health workers.

3. Health workers perform the activities, being guided by the principles of medical ethics and deontology regulating moral relations of Health workers with patients, their relatives, among themselves.
