About measures for enhancement of activities of the Uzbek state university of world languages
For the purpose of ensuring implementation of measures for further development of learning of foreign languages, increase in level and quality of training of highly skilled teachers of foreign languages for comprehensive schools, professional colleges and the academic lyceums, higher educational institutions according to international standards:
1. Determine the Uzbek state university of world languages republican basic educational and scientific and methodical institution for system of life-long education by foreign languages.
Assign the following main objectives and functions to the Uzbek state university of world languages:
training of highly skilled teachers of foreign languages for the comprehensive schools, professional colleges, the academic lyceums and the highest educational institutions owning modern pedagogical and information and communication technologies of training in foreign languages;
development and continuous improvement, according to international standards, the state educational standards, curricula and programs, textbooks and methodologies on foreign languages for all system of life-long education, with attraction, if necessary, the international consultants;
development and deployment of modern methods of teaching foreign languages, taking into account studying of the international experience, in all educational institutions of system of life-long education, and also organizations of advanced training and retraining of personnel on foreign languages;
implementation of retraining and advanced training of teachers and methodologists of foreign languages, first of all profile higher education institutions and organizations of advanced training and retraining of pedagogical personnel.
