About modification of article 13 of the Law of Ukraine "About the status of veterans of war, guarantees of their social protection" rather first-priority free providing disabled veterans with sanatorium treatment

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

1. Item 3 parts one of article 13 of the Law of Ukraine "About the status of veterans of war, guarantees of their social protection" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1993, No. 45, Art. 425; 2008, No. No. 5-8, of Art. 78; with the changes made by the Law of Ukraine of October 16, 2012 No. 5462-VI) to state in such edition:

"3) free extraordinary annual providing with sanatornokurortny treatment with compensation of fare to sanatornokurortny institution and back.

Disabled veterans from among persons who were directly involved in fighting during the Great Patriotic War and war with Japan are free of charge provided with sanatorium treatment first of all from among extra people on the waiting list.

The procedure for provision of permits, the size and payment procedure of compensation are determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Disabled veterans are provided with permits respectively the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the central executive bodies which realize state policy in spheres of health care, social protection of the population, protection of frontier, and other bodies for the place of stay of the disabled person on accounting or in the place of its work.

At the request of disabled people instead of the permit to sanatorium treatment they can receive monetary compensation every two years: disabled veterans of the I-II groups - in the amount of average cost of the permit, disabled veterans of III group - in the amount of 75 percent of average cost of the permit. The monetary compensation is provided irrespective of availability of the medical certificate about need of sanatorium treatment or medical contraindications".

2. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.
