About informatization
The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of informatization, uses of information resources and information systems.
The legislation on informatization consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.
If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about informatization then are applied rules of the international treaty.
In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
informatization - organizational social and economic and scientific and technical process of creation of conditions for requirements satisfaction of legal entities and physical persons in information with use of information resources, information technologies and information systems;
information resource - information, databank, the database electronically as a part of information system, including the audio-, video, graphical and text information placed or published in information systems with open access
;the owner of information resources or information systems - the legal entity or physical person performing ownership, use and the order of information resources or information systems;
the owner of information resources or information systems - the legal entity or physical person performing ownership, use and the order of information resources or information systems within the rights established by the law or the owner of information resources, information systems;
information technology - set of the methods, devices, methods and processes used for collection, storage, search, processing and distribution of information;
information system - organizationally the arranged set of information resources, information technologies and means of communication allowing to perform collection, storage, search, processing and use of information.
