About cooperation in the field of engineering support of armed forces of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States

The governments of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties

proceeding from need of combination of efforts for development and enhancement of engineering support of armed forces of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States (further - the CIS),

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties according to this agreement, the national legal system and the conventional principles and rules of international law cooperate in the following main directions:

interaction in questions of engineering support;

development of general approaches to the solution of organizational and technical issues of engineering support of armed forces of the State Parties of the CIS;

coordination of activities when carrying out scientific developments, designing, production, acquisition and implementation of utilities, including by development of joint programs for enhancement of methods of engineering support of armed forces of the State Parties of the CIS;

assistance to development of joint research and developmental activities for the benefit of engineering support of armed forces of the State Parties of the CIS;

development of humanitarian activities of engineering troops of armed forces of the State Parties of the CIS;

training for engineering troops of armed forces of the State Parties of the CIS;

interaction in the field of standardization, cataloguing, certification and metrology in case of realization of joint projects on development and production of the engineering equipment;

on other questions of multilateral cooperation in the field of engineering support of armed forces of the State Parties of the CIS which are of mutual interest.

Article 2

The basic principles of cooperation are:
