About Council for tourism of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States

The governments of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties for the purpose of implementation of the Agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism of December 23, 1993,

attaching great value to further development of cooperation in the field of tourism,

aiming at coordination of interaction in the main directions of tourist activities,

realizing that development of such cooperation is equitable to interests of the people of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties for coordination of cooperation in the field of tourism create Council for tourism of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States (further - Council) from heads of relevant organs of the government of the State Parties of the CIS.

Article 2

Council considers conceptual questions, determines the priority directions and forms of cooperation in the field of tourism, submits in accordance with the established procedure for consideration of Council of CIS Heads of Government of the offer, directed to the solution of specific objectives in the field of tourism.

Article 3

Council performs the activities on the basis of Regulations on Council for tourism of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States which are integral part of this agreement.

Article 4

This agreement does not affect the rights and obligations of each of the Parties following for it from other international treaties which participant is its state.

Article 5

In the consent of the Parties changes and additions which are its integral part which are drawn up by the relevant protocol can be made to this agreement.
