About introduction of amendments to some laws of Ukraine concerning ensuring transparency of the relations of property concerning mass media

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Make changes to such laws of Ukraine:

1. In the Law of Ukraine "About printing mass media (press) in Ukraine" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1993, No. 1, the Art. 1):

Part third of Article 10 to state 1) in such edition:

"Control provides direct or through the connected persons ownership of shares (shares, shares) that provides achievement of 50 and more percent of votes in the supreme body of the legal entity who is founder (cofounder) of printing mass media";

Part one of Article 12 to add 2) with Item 1-1 of such content:

"1-1) connected persons - legal entity or physical person which exercises control of the founder (cofounders), the owner (joint owners) of printing mass media, and also the legal entity for whom the founder, the owner (co-owner) exercises the corresponding control. If one of cofounders (co-owners) of printing mass media is the physical person, also members of his family are considered as the related persons (the husband, the wife, children and parents, the stepmother and the stepfather, brothers, sisters and their children, husbands (wives) together with whom it exercises control of printing mass media";

"4) if the founder (cofounders) violates requirements of article 10 of this Law";

Part one of Article 32 to add 4) with Item 4-1 of such content:

"4-1) surname and initials of person responsible for release of the corresponding number of the edition".

2. Article 28 of the Law of Ukraine "About news agencies" (1995, No. 13, the Art. 83) to add sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with Item 1-1 of such content:

"1-1) information about the founder (cofounders) and owner (joint owners)".
