This Law creates the legal basis of regulation of the relations connected with ensuring boundary safety of the state including determination of the bodies performing functions on ensuring boundary safety, their powers and order of interaction when implementing boundary activities.
This Law covers legal, organizational, resource, technological and control and supervising fields of activity on ensuring boundary safety.
1. The legal basis of ensuring boundary safety in the state are the constitution, the law on boundary safety, the laws on the status, the mode and protection of frontier and boundary space, another, establishing requirements to ensuring boundary safety laws and other regulatory legal acts adopted according to this Law regulatory legal acts of specially authorized state bodies in the field of the boundary safety and executive bodies performing powers in the field of boundary safety, other regulatory legal acts, and also the international agreements of the state in the field of boundary safety.
2. If the international treaty in the field of boundary safety establishes other rules than provided by this Law, then rules of the international treaty are applied.
