This Law determines organizational bases, the principles and tasks of activities of service for protection of safety of healthy society, establishes guarantees of legal and social protection of staff of service, and also their right and obligation.
The service on protection of safety of healthy society is the state body providing realization of state policy in the field of fight against drug trafficking, psychotropic substances and precursors (further drugs) and alcoholic and tobacco products, NASA, the toxic, psychoactive, strong or other stupefying agents (further - the stupefying substances), observance and accomplishment of the international obligations of Turkmenistan concerning prevention of their illegal distribution and smuggling, fight against illicit trafficking.
1. The legal basis of activities of service for protection of safety of healthy society is constituted by the Constitution of Turkmenistan, this Law, the Law of Turkmenistan "About drugs, psychotropic substances, precursors and measures of counteraction to their illicit trafficking" and other regulatory legal acts of Turkmenistan.
2. If the international treaty of Turkmenistan establishes other rules, than those which contain in this Law then are applied rules of the international treaty.
