About modification and amendments in some legal acts

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. - In the Law on customs tariff No. 1380-XIII of November 20, 1997 (repeated publication: The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, special release of January 1, 2007), with subsequent changes to make the following changes and addition:

1. Part (Article 5 to state 2) in the following edition:

"(2) Determination of customs value of goods is made by customs authority according to this law and international treaties ratified by the Republic of Moldova, and also adopted for the purpose of their execution by regulations of the Government.".

The procedure of delay of final determination of customs value of goods is established by Customs Service.

Sufficient guarantee is the money deposit or the guaranty letter issued by the bank recognized by customs authority (bank guarantee), or guarantee of the customs broker.

For the purposes of this Article the sufficient guarantee represents difference between the import payments estimated on the basis of the customs value of goods which is temporarily determined by customs authority, and the import payments estimated on the basis of the customs value declared by the customs applicant.";
