About modification and amendments in the Code of the Republic of Moldova about offenses No. 218-XVI of October 24, 2008
The Parliament adopts this organic law.
In the Code of the Republic of Moldova about offenses No. 218-XVI of October 24, 2008 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2009, Art. No. 3-6, 15), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes and additions:
1. In part (2) Article 198 of the word "Intentional Damage" shall be replaced with words "Damage or destruction".
2. State Article 237 in the following edition:
"Article 237. Abuse of regulations of movement through railway tracks
(1) Crossing by the transport driver of railway track out of the railway crossing
attracts imposing of penalty in the amount of 100 to 125 conventional units or assignment of punishment in the form of unpaid work for benefit of society for a period of 20 till 30 o'clock or arrest for offense for the term of 15 days with deprivation in all cases of the right of vehicle control for the term of 6 months.
(2) Violation by the transport driver of rules of journey through the railway crossing
attracts imposing of penalty in the amount of 100 to 125 conventional units or assignment of punishment in the form of unpaid work for benefit of society for a period of 30 till 40 o'clock or arrest for offense for the term of 15 days with deprivation in all cases of the right of vehicle control for the term of 1 year.
(3) Violation by the transport driver of the provisions provided by parts (1) and (2), created road accident threat,
attracts imposing of penalty in the amount of 125 to 150 conventional units or assignment of punishment in the form of unpaid work for benefit of society for a period of 40 till 60 o'clock or arrest for offense for the term of 15 days with deprivation in all cases of the right of vehicle control for a period of 2 up to 3 years.".
