About introduction of amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan about transit of oil of June 7, 2002

being guided by article 18 of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan about transit of oil of June 7, 2002 (further - the Agreement),

agreed as follows:

Article 1

Make the following changes to the Agreement:

Article 7 to state 1) in the following edition:

"Article 7

The Kazakhstan Side with guarantee gives opportunity of implementation of transit of the Russian oil through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the existing and created trunk oil pipeline systems along route border of the Russian Federation - border of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Priirtyshsk) - Atasu (Republic of Kazakhstan) - Alashankou (People's Republic of China) in number of 7 million tons per year with possibility of increase up to 10 million tons per year.

The Russian side with guarantee provides supply capacity of the Russian oil in the transit mode in number of 7 million tons per year.

In case of increase in oil supply up to 10 million tons per year of the Party will create conditions for timely reconstruction and increase in capacity of systems of the oil pipelines located in the territories of the states of the Parties.

The amount of transit of the Russian oil declared by competent authority of the Russian Side joins in the oil transportation schedule for export approved by the Kazakhstan Side.";

Article 8 to add 2) with the paragraph of the following content:

"Transit of the Russian oil in the direction Omsk (Russian Federation) - Priirtyshsk (Republic of Kazakhstan) - Atasu (Republic of Kazakhstan) - Alashankou (People's Republic of China) is performed according to international treaties.";
