About development of satellite towns

For the purpose of realization of the main directions of the state urban policy, ensuring complexity of development of administrative and territorial units, creation of additional terms for growth in volumes of housing construction, the balanced development of settlements, their social, production, transport and engineering infrastructure:

1. Determine that:

1.1. the status of the satellite town can be given to the cities of regional or district subordination, settlements of city type located at distance no more than 60 kilometers from Minsk or the regional center according to the decision of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

Offers on giving of the status of the satellite town to the settlements specified in part one of this subitem are submitted for consideration of the President of the Republic of Belarus by Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus based on petitions of the Minsk Gorispolkom, regional executive committees and taking into account the state scheme of the complex territorial organization of the Republic of Belarus;

1.2. when giving the status of the satellite town to the city of regional or district subordination, by the Minsk Gorispolkom and regional executive committees are provided to the settlement of city type in such settlement:

housing construction for the citizens staying on the registry of the housing conditions needing improvement in Minsk, the regional center;

forming single with Minsk, the regional center of social, production and transport infrastructure;

regular transport connection by urban transportation of Minsk, the regional center according to the schedule of its work;

1.3. master plans of the cities of regional or district subordination, settlements of city type when giving of the status of the satellite town to them (further - satellite towns) affirm Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.

Development of master plans is provided:

for satellite towns of Minsk the Minsk regional executive committee together with the Minsk Gorispolkom;

for satellite towns of the regional centers Ministry of Architecture;
