About export control
The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of export control.
The main objectives of this Law are safety of the Republic of Uzbekistan and accomplishment of the international obligations of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of nonproliferation and other types of arms by implementation of export control.
The legislation on export control consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.
If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about export control then are applied rules of the international treaty.
Export control represents package of measures, aimed at providing the procedure for export established by the legislation on export control from the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan of objects of export control (further - export of objects of export control) legal entities and physical persons.
Objects of export control are goods, the equipment, scientific and technical information, works and services, results of intellectual activities (specified in lists of objects of export control) which owing to properties and features inherent in them can make essential contribution to creation of weapons of mass destruction (nuclear, chemical, bacteriological (biological) and toxin weapon), of means of its delivery (the rockets and other technical means capable to deliver weapons of mass destruction), other types of arms and military equipment.
Lists of objects of export control are subject to publication in accordance with the established procedure.
The basic principles of implementation of export control are:
