About cinematography in the Republic of Belarus

This Law establishes the legal basis of state regulation in the field of cinematography, including determines the principles of state policy in the field of cinematography.
In this Law the following main terms are used:
debut work - the first movie of the production director;
initial materials of the movie - the image fixed on material carriers, контратип, soundtrack, the control copy of the movie, the original of magnetic rewriting, the combined soundtrack of music and noise, video soundtrack master, compact disk and other material carriers necessary for replication of the movie;
cinema activities - the direction of cultural activities connected with production, display, hire, replication, sale of movies;
cinema actions - the film festivals, film lecture halls, film societies, days of cinema and other actions in the field of cinematography directed to esthetic, spiritual, moral education of citizens, promoting of motion picture art and also on the solution of other questions in the field of cinematography;
cinematography - the sphere of culture which includes the creative, production, scientific, technical, educational, information, educational processes directed to production, display, hire, replication, sale of movies;
motion picture art - the type of art creativity created on technological fundamentals of cinematography;
the film chronicle - the documentary event plots reflecting the major features (mainly leaving) the present, the place, circumstances and intended in the long term for production of the movie or storage in "Belarusian Public Records Office of Film Photophonodocuments" organization;
