About introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About social and legal protection of the military personnel and members of their families"

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Introduce in the Law of Ukraine "About social and legal protection of the military personnel and members of their families" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1992, No. 15, Art. 190 with subsequent changes) the following changes:

1. To add paragraph two of Item 1 of Article 8 with the offer of the following content: "Time of passing by the military personnel of military service during the special period, appears according to the Law of Ukraine "About defense of Ukraine", is set off in their lengths of service, length of service, length of service in the specialty, and also in years of service of public service on favorable terms according to the procedure, determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine".

2. Add Article 18 with Item 6-1 of the following content:

"6-1. To members of families of the military personnel passing military service during the special period appears according to the Law of Ukraine "About defense of Ukraine", payment of cash cover of this military personnel in case of impossibility by them its obtaining is guaranteed during participation in fighting and transactions. In that case payment of cash cover is performed to the members of families of the military personnel specified in Item 6 of article 9 of this Law.

The payment procedure of cash cover to the members of families of the military personnel specified in this Item is determined by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, other central executive bodies which perform management of military forming and law enforcement agencies, and also military forming, law enforcement and prospecting agencies in which passing of military service by the military personnel is provided".

II. Final provisions

1. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.

2. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine within a month from the date of entry into force of this Law:
