About modification of the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About local self-government in the city of Yerevan"

Article 1. Article 68 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About local self-government in the city of Yerevan" of December 26, 2008 to state to No. ZR-5-YoN (further – the Law) in the following edition:

"Article 68. Powers of the mayor in the field of the organization of defense

1. In the field of the organization of defense in the city of Yerevan the mayor performs the following obligatory powers:

1) is conducted in the procedure established by the law by the magazine of registration of persons liable for call-up of persons of municipality, lists on them, and also represents to territorial military commissariat data on removal them from accounting at the place of residence, revenues to work and about release from work;

2) participates in the cases established by the law and procedure in the organization of military appeal, mobilization and training sessions;

3) in the presence of the information about the citizens who broke the obligations of persons liable for call-up without delay provides written information on it in territorial military commissariat.

2. In this sphere the mayor performs the following voluntary powers:

1) promotes activities of bodies of civil defense;

2) promotes improvement of social protection of families of the military personnel, and also the solution of social problems of the demobilized persons, veterans of war;

3) promotes military patriotic education of the population, in particular youth.".

Article 2. This Law becomes effective for the tenth day after its official publication.
